Desgagnés Transarctik Inc. (DTI) and La Fédération des Coopératives du Nouveau-Québec (FCNQ), two companies that have served Nunavik together for nearly 40 years, have joined forces to create a new firm, Taqramut Transport Inc. This new partnership is aimed at providing Nunavimmiut with personalized and enhanced sealift services to Nunavik. Among other objectives, plans include the diversification of sealift-related services in the Communities, and aim at increasing local involvement and participation, as well as the creation of job opportunities for Co-op members at the Community level.
